THREE Reunions

This has been the summer of reunions! It's a good thing we love our families. ;)

Ditto #1- we spent a long weekend with Dan's family up at their cabin. It's beautiful up there and I love how quiet and peaceful it is!

I love Owen's face in this picture. He loves his Nana and Papa!

These 2 are finally getting old enough to play together and it's so fun!

Spjute Reunion - Mel found an amazing house to rent at Bear Lake and it was SO great! We needed a couple more days together. Owen was in heaven with lots of boy cousins around and spent hours playing on the playground in the back yard. (Remember how we bought a used playground and it's STILL sitting in pieces in our back  yard? Now that we're finally done with all our reunions we'll hopefully get it setup soon.) Spjute's are really good at eating.so.much.food. I have a sweet tooth more than almost anyone I know, and even I needed a break from sugar by the time we got back. In my opinion, that's the sign of a good reunion!

Don't worry, my sun roof exploded on the way to Bear Lake. We seriously have the worst luck with cars. We were driving in Brigham City and all of a sudden we see a giant rock flying towards us. No idea where it came from, but it landed right on top of my sun roof and completely shattered it. Just so you know, replacing your sun roof is really expensive.
Blast you, giant rock!

The bunk beds had railings and a removable ladder, which meant that Owen couldn't get out of his bed. Hoorah!

I have so many pictures of Savannah sleeping. Oops.

Megan and Kate are the best!

This is what happens when you go to bed at 11 and wake up before 6. Meltdown in the car!

My hiking buddy. Except the hike was a 45 second walk. :)

That's snow. In August. In a cool ice/snow cave thing.

Tragically this is the only picture I got of baby Henry. Less than 2 weeks old.
Mel is a true champ for coming and I love Henry!

Owen discovered the joy of toy guns. Now he turns everything that even
slightly resembles a gun into a gun.

All the cousins with their glow sticks.

A day at the beach!

Owen's first wave runner ride, thanks to uncle Randy!

Ditto Reunion #2 - 5 days after the Spjute reunion we braved the 7 hour drive up to Helena for the Ditto extended family reunion.

Dan keeping his team's balloon in the air.

Owen discovered the awesomeness of a balance bike.

My early morning buddy for a walk by the lake.

Love these cute cousins!

I'm pretty sure she was giggling at a dog. She LOVES dogs. Too bad she'll
never get to have one. I'm such a mean mom.

Owen grabbed this rope and immediately started singing Moana

"You will board my boat, sail across the sea . . . "

Savannah has started making this hilarious face. Scrunchy nose!

Lagoon

This has nothing to do with Lagoon, but it's so cute! Her eyelashes are long
AND they curl up. I don't know where they come from, but I am jealous!
Dan's work had a Lagoon day and we surprisingly loved it. After having a pass to 6 flags in St. Louis we aren't very enamored with Lagoon's lack of amazing roller coasters. We figured we'd show up for a couple of hours and then enjoy the day off. But Owen LOVED it so we stayed forever and had a blast. Who knew Lagoon has so many rides for kids?

He couldn't figure out how to steer so his car just kept going in circles. It
was hilarious.

Savannah was there too, hanging out with Mom. After
I took this picture I realized how tired she was and got her
to nap for an hour. :)
He was asleep before we left the parking lot. This is extra amazing because we let him run through the fountains right before we left so he was sopping wet.

More Randoms & Lydia's Birthday

Fat guy in a little toy! This thing has entertained
BOTH kids. A win for sure.

A rare visit from Grandma Great! And her eyes are open! :)

Owen talked about Uncle Dave for DAYS.

This park is by our house and it's amazing.

Savannah is our very own "Princess and the Pea." It's taken her forever to get consistent on her naps and I found many days letting her sleep on our giant king sized bed. She always sleeps for a super long time on our bed. She is already so spoiled!!

But when she is asleep she's oh so cute!

Owen put my high heels on all by himself. Don't tell dad!

Owen's version of weight lifting.

Have you heard of the show "The Great British Baking Show"? It's on Netflix and we love it. When I baked Lydia's cake, Owen was SO excited and watched it bake just like the bakers on the show. He's obsessed with birthdays. Too bad his isn't until January.

We celebrated Lydia's 5th birthday with delicious cake and ice cream! We miss her so much it hurts. Every day. She would have been starting kindergarten this year, which makes me sad.

He was SO excited for the "pink cake" and I'm pretty sure he
ate that butterfly on his own.

Savannah is wearing her big sister's outfit. Love.
